  • Opportunity at a Glance

    This position works in multiple ERP production and development environments to configure to the requirements of the business. The platforms and environments consist of Banner, Salesforce.com, DocuSign, Degree Works, AIS and any future university Applications and Platforms.  In addition, this person will assist on related projects, and will interact with many constituencies to develop configuration solutions to business problems.  This position also assists with the design of configuration, managed packages and business relationships. Works independently to ensure that the applications are operating efficiently and maintained.

    Responsibilities

    • Uses skills and knowledge to configure applications to plan and coordinate the activities related to running Production/QA/INT and Development environments.
    • Banner Security and forms configuration.
    • Works with the Development and Business Systems teams on Application & Platform upgrades and monitor/communicate releases per application or platform. 
    • Works with the Development and Business Systems teams to implement application maintenance type enhancements.
    • Works closely with the Development and Business Systems teams during defect resolution. 
    • Works with various teams to implement change management for custom configuration migrated into production environments.
    • Refreshes QA/Development/Test environments on a scheduled basis.
    • Works with the team to identify common functionality in Salesforce environments that can be packaged and distributed.
    • Assists the development team to implement optimized packages in production environments.
    • Assists in the management of a catalog of capabilities that will be shared with all institutions. 
    • Assists to standardize and maintain security in Banner Applications. 
    • As assigned - researches, plans, and performs upgrades, application of bug fixes, and the implementation of security policies.
    • Works with cross functional groups on projects, enhancements, and defect resolution.
    • Maintains knowledge base to improve maintenance and reliability.
    • Publishes Development/Implementation activities and schedules for applications and platforms.
    • Follows defined processes/procedures for complex data loads and transformations into production environments.
    • Performs high level trouble-shooting of development and production systems independently.
    • Provides support for the training development team on new/advancing capabilities and ongoing support of these processes/procedures to help build the knowledge of other administrators.\

     

    Qualifications

     

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Technology working with cloud based student information systems.
    • Experience with enterprise project work.
    • Experience with managed and unmanaged packages.
    • Experience with managing multiple environments and creating back-ups and refreshes.
    • Experience supporting ERP Systems.
    • Proven track record in maintaining and tuning large volume applications.
    • Experience with integrations and troubleshooting defects.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to learn new information quickly.
    • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving technical environment.
    • Excellent oral/written communications skills.
    • Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical audiences.
    • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, or comparable Technical discipline preferred. 
    • Expereince working with cloud based student information systems such as Banner or CampusNexis highly preferred.
    • Salesforce Admin certification highly preferred.
