    Chamberlain College of Nursing is actively seeking candidates interested in a Support Technician position. Our Support Technicians are responsible for addressing the technical needs of the faculty, staff, and students at our Chamberlain College of Nursing campus in Chicago, IL.  These needs include, but are not limited to hardware, software, operations and applications. 


    • Responds to issues and problems - “Help Desk requests” (via Remedy) brought forward from faculty and staff and ensures they are resolved in a timely manner
    • Provide technical support to all faculty, staff, & students on various issues by identifying, researching and resolving technical problems and concerns. Answer inquiries in person and via telephone and e-mail concerning the use of computer hardware and software, i.e. word processing, presentations, electronic mail, operating systems, OSS, (FxScholar in the past), and ANGEL
    • Instruct faculty, staff, and students on use of technology to facilitate their jobs as faculty and students
    • Operate and set up all shared technology, such as Laptops, Projectors, Speakers, , TV’s, VCR’s, DVD Players, & Classroom Networking
    • Assist faculty and IT leadership in evaluating methods and procedures to improve campus technologies through surveys, questions, comments, and ideas from faculty, staff, and students
    • Other duties as necessary (providing support with other college functions such as registration)
    • Participates in special projects as directed by IT leadership
    • Provides technical support as needed in support of the Simulation Lab environment
    • Provides technical support in managing and operating audio visual systems
    • Completes other duties as assigned

    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field strongly preferred
    • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position 
    • Must have basic hardware and software troubleshooting skills and proficiency with the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite
    • At least 1 year experience operating audio visual systems highly preferred
    • Previous experience with high-fidelity simulation equipment preferred
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills required
