    As the Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you are responsible for helping to define, drive, and deliver on Adtalem’s Global Education Security strategy.   You work with the organization to deliver User/Data Protection, Threat and Vulnerability Management, and Incident Response. You possess strong knowledge and experience with information security controls, infrastructure and implementation techniques. Additionally, you have demonstrated exceptional organizational and cross-functional communication skills to drive best practice information security controls to Adtalem Global Education.



    In this role, you will:

    • Work within the security team to assist with defining the strategy and roadmaps for technology products, service standards, and governance routines that affect the organization.
    • Partner across the organization to design controls and service alternatives that improve the organizations defenses against Internal / external threats.
    • Support technology teams with research, engineering, testing, monitoring, and maintaining solutions supporting the organizations information security policies and/or procedures.
    • Assist in the review, development, testing and implementation of security plans, products and control techniques.
    • Coordinate the reporting data security incidents.
    • Identify and escalate changes that will affect information security policy, standards and procedures.
    • Execute security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-commerce programs.
    • Research attempted efforts to compromise security protocols.
    • Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.



    • At least 5 years of experience in Information Security and/or related technology field, including experience with Insider Threat and Data Loss Prevention.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
    • Knowledge with data-centric security philosophies including data classification and rights management.
    • Ability to work with application development, networking, database, and server teams.
    • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and supporting vulnerability management, data encryption, data loss prevention, SIEM, intrusion prevention, and/or other security controls.
    • Experience implementing security controls across cloud platforms and software-as-a-service applications
    • Exceptional communication and customer relationship skills.
    • Ability to build consensus and cooperation as well as the ability to influence, interact, and negotiate with leadership in the organization.
    • Security industry certifications (e.g. CISSP, GCFA, GCTI, CCSP, etc.) are preferred.
    • Ability to effectively collaborate with leadership to document complex topics into an effective presentation.
