Opportunity at a Glance

As the Senior Business Support Specialist, you identify, research, and resolve technical problems which require your critical thinking and problem resolution skills.  You work directly with colleagues, providing them with technical services that include identifying, prioritizing, and confirming resolution of reported problems with desktop, laptop, and networked systems.  You ensure that all phases of desktop support, including installations, upgrades, software, hardware, operating systems, and operating system configuration issues, are properly coordinated, monitored, tracked, and resolved.

Responsibilities

  • Address timely installation and repair of computer system hardware, operating systems, software and peripherals.
  • Manage and prioritize assigned IT service requests.
  • Manage escalations using a 3rd party vendor for IT-Managed Services at global office locations.
  • Test new software and hardware for compatibility.
  • Escalate high impact or VIP technology issues.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Serve as a technical resource in large and small projects.
  • Develop, document and implement technology-based processes and procedures.
  • Work closely across IT teams to ensure effective communication and project escalation.
  • Complete other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology Management, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Information Technology field.
  • Effective at managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and projects.
  • Have problem solving abilities and the capability to resolve issues as they occur.
  • Have high standards for customer relations and satisfaction.
  • Experience supporting mobile devices and PC/MAC imaging solutions.
  • Knowledge of printers, desktops, laptops, servers, VoIP, networking, change management and information security.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products, including: Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2016, Server 2012.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange administration, Active Directory administration and SCCM.
  • Understanding of Change Management protocols and Project Management Office processes.
  • Possess excellent communication skills in order to facilitate the delivery and installation of computer hardware/services.
