Opportunity at a Glance

The Accreditation Policy Analyst reports directly to the Manager of Accreditation - US, who reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Accreditation-Global. The primary purpose of the Analyst position is to support accreditation through the thorough assessment and document coordination, as well as lending advice on information applicable to regulatory policies, standards, processes and guidelines. 

 

Responsibilities entail ensuring that Adtalem institutions are in compliance with applicable requirements and to serve as an advisor on policies, best practices, opportunities for continuous improvement, and issues across the accreditation spectrum that facilitate compliance. This position actively supports accreditation for Adtalem's domestic institutions, and additionally involves supporting international institutions based on operational need.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and approves various types of correspondence to accreditors for Adtalem institutions, including providing consultative guidance in drafting reports and overseeing the compilation of supporting documentation when needed.
  •  Review accreditation information in marketing materials, advertisements, web pages, catalogs, and student communications for all business units to ensure compliance with accreditation regulations, accuracy, quality, and consistency.
  •  Monitor professional credentialing requirements related to accreditation for use in catalogs, web site pages, student communications, and accreditation disclosures.
  •  Assists with the timely maintenance of internal reporting mechanisms as well as historical records and activity.
  • Ensures timely maintenance of institutional accreditation activity involving: timelines, submissions, approvals, and processes across all business units impacting accreditation.
  •  Develop accreditation disclosure forms as needed for institutions, locations, and programs; collaborate with the Regulatory Compliance team to ensure proper implementation.
  • Attend regular implementation team and project meetings for all business units; serve as subject matter expert; advise on accreditation-related activity and regulatory impact to institutional activity; and monitor institutional activity to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Supports the development and implementation of administrative and operational policies that are consistent with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Research accreditation regulations and institutional activity for organizational use as needed; monitor institutional activity to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Keeps Accreditation leadership informed of emerging trends and ongoing issues in the domestic accreditation environment.
  • Provides gap analysis upon leaderships requests pertaining to accreditation footprint.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Three years in accreditation preferred, but not required. Preferably with a regulatory agency, another school system, or experience with grant writing/coordination.
  •  Strong communication skills, adaptability, multi-tasking, project management and qualitative analytical research.
  • Excellent writer, problem solver, organized, independent worker, works well with others required.
