Opportunity at a Glance

The Licensing Analyst performs the following functions in compliance with state regulations for all Adtalem Global Education Institutions.


  • Works collaboratively with manager and institutional leadership to create state licensing applications (i.e. new locations, new programs, annual renewals, quarterly reports, and other necessary applications/reports) to obtain and maintain approval to operate, grant degrees, and/or recruit in each state.
  • Writes extensive narrative business correspondence and reports for submission to state regulatory agencies.
  • Meets and works collaboratively with licensing team to determine application elements or special requirements.
  • Works with appropriate internal and external colleagues to gather materials essential to complete all licensing applications and reports
  • Prioritizes competing deadline-driven projects with minimal oversight and ensures timely submission of all relevant application materials
  • Maintains detailed and precise accounting of status of licensing projects in database, communicates requirements and deadlines, and ensures that these deadlines are met
  • Contributes to special licensing team assignments
  • Maintains all relevant paper and electronic files

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Excellent attention to detail and superb proof-reading skills
  • Excellent time and/or project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, oral and written communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience gathering and analyzing various types of data and communicating information in a variety of prescribed forms
  • Experience researching and analyzing state statutory and regulatory requirements preferred
  • Previous experience in an institution of higher education is a plus
  • Work well in a team and independently
  • Ability to interact with senior leadership and outside agencies in a professional manner
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and internet applications required; experience with Microsoft Access and SharePoint is a plus
