Opportunity at a Glance

Reporting to the VP of Talent Development and Talent Acquisition, the Talent Management Consultant will be responsible for targeted organization-wide leadership learning and development programs, oversee colleague orientation and onboarding programs for individual contributors and leaders and lead organization-wide career development initiatives. The Talent Management Consultant will consult with internal clients on talent and organizational development topics toward improving performance and developing leaders for the future. 


  • Lead the design, execution and maintenance of organization-wide leadership learning through several modalities (eLearning, Micro-learning, instructor-led, virtual, learning paths, etc.)
  • As an expert in instructional design and emerging delivery methods, continue to identify ways to deliver courses and consulting offerings that are both engaging and delivered in an efficient manner and drive the right learning outcomes.
  • Fully leverage and implement self-paced/social learning paths measuring learning outcomes and user experience to ensure quality and impact.
  • Measure and analyze effectiveness of organization-wide learning and development, establishes learning and leadership programs and OD interventions, and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Lead the enterprise new colleague orientation process and experience measuring the colleague experience and ensuring relevancy and impact.
  • Lead the implementation and monitoring of the new leader onboarding program.
  • Partner with Director of Talent Development/Recruiting to implement targeted leadership development programs for high potentials.
  • Lead established career development program and serve as a resource for targeted development planning at various levels.
  • Create and evaluate enterprise change management model, driving adoption and deploying the model enterprise-wide to drive sustainable change.
  • Oversee, design and execute on an approach to implement the organization’s new competency model.
  • Facilitate training via multiple modalities in an engaging manner to ensure a superior participant experience.
  • Consult with leaders to address performance and organizational and team effectiveness needs providing solutions including change management strategies, team effectiveness interventions, performance and talent calibration and process improvement.
  • Formally coach colleagues providing 360/other assessments and debriefs. Conduct difficult/high-impact one-on-one conversations that will influence specific behavioral outcomes.
  • Assist with and completes other Talent Management projects and duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred in I/O psychology, education, instructional design or other related disciplines
  • 5-7 years of strong experience in platform training and facilitation experience and consulting with strong instructional design experience including extensive experience in cutting edge methodologies to deliver learning (i.e. self-directed/social learning approaches)
  • Prefer either HR generalist or operations background so that the individual has a “practical filter” for solutions recommended
  • Creative and able to think outside the box
  • Exceptional project management and organization skills with high degree of attention to detail while still being able to see the big picture
  • Ability to plan and execute
  • Self-directed and self-motivated
  • Resilient and adaptable; able to work effectively in a fast-paced every changing environment
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience with assessment tools for professional development (i.e. Benchmarks 360, Meyer’s Briggs, Forte, etc.) is preferred. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to have difficult conversations (push back and share difficult information with people) both tactfully and effectively with leaders several levels higher while driving win-win outcomes
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Experience and exposure to talent management technology such as performance management tools, talent review process tools and learning management systems including LMS, e-learning authoring tools, experience with virtual platforms such as Adobe or WebEx
  • Basic knowledge of HR practices
  • Travel will be required; likely no more than 25% of the time
