    The Senior Global Communications Specialist will assist the Director, Communications in the development and implementation of public relations strategies to support Adtalem Global Education’s Medical & Healthcare Vertical. This includes researching, developing, writing and producing a wide range of communications materials aimed at elevating the institution and vertical reputations and driving growth. S/he will also engage with institutional subject matter experts to build strong relationships that will result in solid opportunities for media coverage.



    • Execute strategic PR initiatives and plans to elevate institutional expertise and drive growth.
    • Research, write, edit and distribute PR materials, including press releases, op-ed/bylined articles and media pitches.
    • Ensure that messages support and are consistent with marketing, government relations and investor relations strategies.
    • Develop relationships with institutional experts and leverage those relationships to identify media opportunities.
    • Serve as media contact as needed.
    • Completes other duties as assigned.




    • A bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications, marketing or a related field required.
    • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
    • Experience in higher education and/or healthcare communications a plus.
    • Superior planning, organizing and project management skills, including the ability to inspire others to meet deadlines.
    • A high attention to detail with a solid understanding of AP style.
    • Strong knowledge of grammar, punctuation and composition rules required for editing and proofreading material.
    • A strong work ethic and ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including ability to effectively work with people at all levels, including the CEO and other executives.
    • PC, mobile and web/online savvy, including full suite of Microsoft offerings.
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
    • Able to meet tight deadlines and prioritize a varied workload in a fast paced and demanding environment with several competing priorities.
    • Willing to learn new skills, expand knowledge, and adapt to technological and business changes.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels.
