    The Case Coordinator reports to the Director, Equity and Access with a dotted line report to the Senor Counsel. The Equity and Access Coordinator will assist the Adtalem Global Education Group’s (“ATGE”) Legal department and the Office of Equity and Access in addressing, managing, and resolving legal matters and issues regarding identity-based harassment, discrimination, and misconduct. This position will also work closely with Human Resources, Regulatory Affairs, and other institutional leaders to ensure successful and effective responses to legal matters and matters involving equity and access. 


    • Conduct intake of matters sent to the Legal department and the Office of Equity and Access. Conduct first-line review and manage responses under the direction of the Senior Counsel and the Director, Office and Equity. Route matters to other appropriate resources, where appropriate.
    • Receive and respond to attorney letters, inquiries, and complaints from students and colleagues, and inquiries from governmental agencies.
    • Assist the Legal department and the Office of Equity and Access in case management.
    • Assist the Title IX and Equity Investigator in conducting investigations based on the ATGE’s Anti-Harassment and Non-Discrimination Policy, its business partners’ Sex and Gender-Based Misconduct Response and Prevention Policies, and other policies concerning identity-based discrimination and harassment.
    • Assist in the preparation of documents such as FERPA releases and Requests for Proposals for contractors and vendors for the Legal department.
    • Assist the Office of Equity and Access in preparing training programs.
    • Maintain the Office of Equity and Access’ communications, including updating its newsletter and intranet page.
    • Manage departmental tracking system for legal and equity and access complaints. Analyze the data and develop reports to institutional leaders on a regular basis.
    • Provide support to the Senior Counsel in other areas, such as contracts, legal research, policy review and drafting, and legal compliance issues.
    • Completes other duties as assigned.

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.  Below are the minimum requirements of the education, experience, knowledge, and skills required to competently perform in this position:


    • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree or other graduate degree strongly preferred.
    • The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of higher education compliance experience, preferably in Title IX, ADA/Title 504 and/or student affairs roles.
    • The incumbent will be expected to “hit the ground running,” and must be a self-starter, a solution-finder, and a forward-thinker.
    • The incumbent will interact with all levels of management and, as such, must possess superior communication skills (both written and oral), professionalism, diplomatic, and “active listening” skills.
    • The ideal candidate is highly motivated with a positive outlook.
    • Ability to independently handle confidential and sensitive matters using excellent judgment and professionalism.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Other required skills include organizing resources and establishing priorities; ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports; use of personal computers and related software applications; ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
