    The Role of the VP of Digital Marketing is to provide strategic leadership, drive change and achieve quantifiable business results across all institutions. The VP, Digital Marketing reports into the Chief Marketing Officer and provides input into the organization’s growth strategy, particularly as it relates to delivering inquiries and transactions that generate enrollments and revenue for the institutions.

     

    In this role, you will oversee our Digital Center of Excellence, a performance marketing team that collaborates with institution leaders and agency partners to create and deploy integrated campaigns that reach our target audiences. This includes launching and managing initiatives that are on time, on budget, rooted in continuous learning and optimization and meet and exceed performance targets. You will be responsible for paid media, social media, email marketing, marketing automation and website management, as well as building new capabilities that advance Adtalem’s digital vision.

     

    Most importantly, you are an inspirational leader and team builder adept at building a highly collaborative work environment in marketing and related functions across the vertical and enterprise.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership for the Digital Center of Excellence, ensuring the development of top digital talent and sharing and adoption of best practices that drive results
    • Develop and deploy strategies to deliver on enrollment and revenue targets as well as building institution brands and continuously evaluating the brand’s digital experience
    • Shape a broader digital strategy for Adtalem that provides a strong marketing technology foundation and is nimble enough to adjust to evolving business needs and fast-changing industry trends.
    • Build and manage a team of external agency partners with deep expertise and the ability to scale up to support growth of existing businesses as well as new acquisitions
    • Understand the critical touch points throughout the student lifecycle and help the organization see its business processes through a digital experience lens, and influences business process improvements
    • Define and build advanced analytics capabilities to meet the marketing departments needs across all institutions, including performance analysis, forecasting, dashboard reporting, and optimization recommendations
    • Build stronger relationships with students/customers through the brand; creates, implements, manages and measures the brand experience
    • Regularly assesses/measures campaign performance outcomes and make recommendations for improvements
    • Identifies opportunities to improve marketing efficiency across the enterprise, better manage costs and achieve better outcomes across all vendors and programs
    • Brings sophistication and innovating ideas on digital technologies and social media channels; helps the organization build strong connections with its students, alumni and employers
    • Promotes collaboration across the enterprise and influences effectively across the organization, cross functionally, and geographically

    • Bachelors degree required; MBA is highly desirable.
    • 15 years of experience in high quality organizations with strong brands.
    • A demonstrated track record of creating the new and different. Generates new ideas, possesses vision and drives breakthrough thinking.
    • Student champion; constantly seeks new ways to provide value for students.
    • Attacks problems with energy, uses data to drive decision-making and keeps a keen eye on the bottom line.
