    This position will develop and manage with minimal supervision concurrent IT audit projects including planning, developing, testing, evaluating data & documentation, reviewing supporting workpapers, and developing & managing deadlines.  This position will evaluate and interpret the risk of audit results in order to deliver recommendations to management including corrective actions, improvement of various processes and effective risk mitigation.

     

    This position will be in Chicago approximately 3 days/week and in Downers Grove 2 days/week.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with internal audit management team to develop annual plan and coordinate resources.
    • Lead internal audit projects related to IT general controls, information security, pre/post system implementation, IT governance, and operational areas; drive consistency of methodology.
    • Manage quality, accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of individual audit engagements and reports.
    • Identify balanced and risk-based corrective actions and engage management for ownership and completion with a focus on risk prioritization.
    • Draft and timely communicate key audit plans, issues, and audit results both orally and written to management and track remediation.
    • Establish a strong relationship with management and external auditors; coordinate annual efforts.
    • Manage a team of internal auditors to ensure audit objectives are achieved.
    • Serve as the primary management contact for IT audits.
    • Evaluate risks and key control activities to determine process improvements.
    • Develop team members by driving the talent management process, providing supervision, timely feedback, development opportunities and management support.
    • Understand and comply with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards.
    • Maintain strong working knowledge IT governance and risk trends.
    • Completes other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required in a related field
    • Certification required (CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.)
    • Must have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with a focus on internal auditing; public accounting firm experience preferred
    • Working knowledge of Windows/Linux OS
    • Strong understanding of:
      • PCAOB & IIA Standards
      • 2013 COSO, NIST, COBIT, ITIL frameworks
    • Must have strong leadership, analytical skills, process orientation
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational and project management skills
