    Adtalem Global Education is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join their Medical and Healthcare Vertical as the Director of Marketing Engagement.


    The Director of Marketing Engagement is responsible for leading the strategy for Adtalem's Medical and Healthcare alumni community, comprised of over 86,000 medical and healthcare professionals around the globe. The Director will help build and strengthen one of the world’s largest medical and healthcare alumni communities which include students and graduates for Chamberlain University, Ross University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and AUC School of Medicine.


    The Director will partner with the Institution Leadership and Alumni Managers on the establishment of an overarching vision for alumni that supports and enhances the institutional and enterprise strategies.  The Director will partner on the planning and implementation of strategies and programs that increase alumni membership and engagement, as well as developing consistent, positive brand experiences and support for students throughout their journey.  The position will also provide leadership across the organization to improve and expand ongoing student and alumni advocacy.


    • Partner with the leadership to establish a vision for alumni relations as well as the definition and metrics of success for alumni relations that supports the overarching strategy for the Medical and Health Institutions.
    • Collaborate with institutional leadership to formulate ideas and develop strategies to improve performance relative to internal and external benchmarks.
    • Provide leadership for the design and implementation of engagement strategies to initiate and expand programming and create opportunities to better support lifelong learning for our alumni.
    • Design and implement tactical plans and measurements in support of alumni programming goals, vertical goals and institutional needs.
    • Develop and actively maintain the team’s expertise on best practices across the education industry for alumni relations and student experience.
    • Partner with leadership to select and implement a technology platform that will support the vision and strategies for alumni relations across the vertical.
    • Partner with vertical marketing leads to ensure alignment and message consistency for high student engagement throughout the entire journey
    • Lead efforts to continually gather, analyze and socialize actionable insights on our alumni community and relevant adjacent groups (ex/ employers, partners) through dedicated research and ongoing outreach and assessment.
    • Enhance the alumni support experience as it relates to navigation, education, and empowerment leveraging all medium including print, digital, social, and events, in accordance with the right audience and cycle of their educational journey. Ensure system-wide consistency of messaging.
    • Lead all technology, innovation and partnership efforts to ensure value to our alumni and optimize investments.
    • Work with institutions to ensure accurate and complete alumni database records; capture contact and career information of alumni via surveys, projects, correspondence, alumni website.
    • Establish and build relationships with our Medical and Healthcare alumni, locally, regionally, nationally and internationally; maintain regular communication with alumni via the alumni advisory boards, direct contact, emails, alumni web site, and additional publications.
    • Partner with Empower Scholarship team to drive awareness and financial support for the scholarships.
    • Other duties as assigned.



    • Bachelor’s degree required.  Master’s degree preferred.
    • 10+ of experience in alumni relations, external affairs, and/or consumer communications with demonstrated accomplishment in customer relationship marketing.
    • Experience in a leadership role, with success in mentoring and coaching teams.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing assessment strategies and the management of alumni databases.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues throughout a large, fast-paced matrix organization.
    • Flexibility and initiative, with the skills for thriving in a team environment to achieve institutional goals.
