    The Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists® (ACAMS), the largest international membership organization dedicated to enhancing the knowledge, skills and expertise of AML/CTF and financial crime detection and prevention professionals, seeks a Director of Sales.

     

    The Director of Sales leads a team of experienced sales account managers and is responsible for sales and marketing performance for the ACAMS suite of products for major accounts across North America. The incumbent works to improve ACAMS market position and achieve financial growth, responsible for defining the long-term organizational strategic goals, identifying business opportunities, assisting in the strategy to manage key client relationships, and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

    Responsibilities

    • Partners with leadership to develop annual operating business plans for sales, marketing and operational efforts that reflect the unique needs of each region/account within their territory.
    • Provides day-to-day leadership in development of strategies and tactics to grow market share and increase revenues while ensuring a superior customer experience within territory.
    • Financial Responsibilities: Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations. Review operating budgets to analyze trends affecting budget needs. Analyze monthly department budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls. Seek new ways to improve efficiency and increase profits.
    • Lead and develop the Account Manager sales team to ensure outstanding customer service levels are maintained.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to align goals and maximize effectiveness of objectives.
    • Participate in strategic planning for new products and work with field support to implement new product rollouts.
    • Partner closely with the global and regional teams in development of strategies to increase sales efforts at firms and corporations combined with ongoing account maintenance.
    • Create synergies between institutions to maximize revenue across the entire organization.
    • Conduct performance evaluation and provide coaching and feedback to direct report Account Managers; work with each employee to create goals, monitor goal achievement, and provide regular one-on-one coaching.
    • Responsible for negotiating/approving contracts with financial institutions, corporations and partners.
    • Develop creative solutions addressing the unique needs of each customer in order to increase revenue.

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a sales or business development leadership or managerial role with proven expertise in leading teams to pursue complex, consultative sales
    • Strong B2B experience
    • Experience in the finance industry targeting large enterprise accounts preferred
    • Strong leadership skills are essential with well-developed capacity to define the focus and vision of the organization
    • Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills along with strong presentation and sales skills.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in enterprise environment.
    • Experience developing sales plans and analyzing metrics.
    • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers and influencers and their staff to be sure that ongoing account needs are continually monitored and met.
    • Understands and gains access to customer’s short and long-range planning objectives.
    • Proven record of sales P&L responsibility preferred.
