    Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer this position is responsible for building a best in class admissions function and community in partnership with institution/admission leaders. This position provides high-level leadership and supports the development of student admissions and recruitment best practices and performance benchmarks by collaborating with various home office and institutional leaders to drive the achievement of performance expectations.  He/she will be an experienced communicator who can develop strong partnerships with client organizations and who possesses a communication cadence that is highly effective for customers. He/she will use metrics to evaluate the performance of the organization, identify gaps and work with a sense of urgency to deliver results. The VP of Enrollment Management will provide leadership in the execution of the business plan, budgeting and process and system improvements to enhance the student’s experience across the enterprise.

    Responsibilities

    Will work in partnership with institution leaders and admission’s leaders providing leadership and support as follows:

    • Develops and actively maintains an expertise of best practices across the education industry for admissions and enrollment process, policies and student experience
    • Collaborates with institutional leadership to formulate ideas and develop strategies to improve operational performance relative to internal and external benchmarks.
    • Identifies and assists in implementation of admissions and student recruitment best practices across multiple institutions.
    • Partner with vertical marketing leads to ensure alignment.
    • Participate in the fiscal year enrollment budgeting process.
    • Collaborates with institutional leadership to meet financial plan and strategic objectives, as deemed appropriate.
    • Focuses on growing the business and looking for new opportunities to expand market share.
    • Develops and executes both short-term and long-term student recruitment strategies to meet the organization’s growth and profitability objectives.
    • Understands the prospect journey and creates and implements new approaches to drive new student enrollments, in partnership with marketing.
    • Identifies new opportunities using technology to drive efficiency and/or improve the student experience.
    • Develops dashboard reporting to assess and benchmark key performance indicators across multiple institutions in real time.
    • Establishes and maintains an effective system of communication to critical internal stakeholders.
    • Partners with compliance, legal and institutions to ensure that proposed best practices are in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations and accreditor requirements along with the organization’s compliance policies and procedures.
    • Gather and share competitive intel in regards to admissions and recruitment.
    • Creates an admissions community staffed with talented, high potential admission colleagues that leverages best practices and provides opportunities for professional development and capability enhancement.

    Completes other duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree preferred. 
    • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in higher education enrollment with a proven track record of results.
    • Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to work in a matrix environment and build collaborative relationships
    • Proven track record of hiring and selecting talented team members with potential.
    • Strategic thinker with a strong results orientation mindset.
    • Good listener that is able to understand and appreciate the perspectives of colleagues.
    • Requires broad operational business knowledge and a deep understanding of multiple functions and institutional policies.
    • Is an effective driver of change following established change management methodologies.
    • Able to build and communicate a persuasive business case to stakeholders within a complex matrix environment.
    • Able to generate and analyze data and present a synthesis of findings and recommendations to senior management.
    • Outstanding oral and written communication skills and keen persuasive ability.
    • Well versed with operating in a highly regulated, compliance driven environment.
