    The Senior Analyst is responsible for interpreting financial aid-related statutes, regulations and administrative rules of various issuing bodies and developing procedures and processes to assure compliance with those rules and monitoring the performance of those procedures and processes. The Senior Analyst will provide advisory services to Adtalem institutions and centralized functional groups for compliant administration of all student funding types, including but not limited to title IV, state aid Veterans Affairs, Dept of Defense and WIA.


    • Maintains current knowledge of all federal title IV, military benefit and state aid regulations to serve as a resource for compliance questions.
    • Works with colleagues in all institutions and functional areas to ensure policies, procedures, internal and external reporting, materials and communications are developed in compliance with federal, state and internal standards and regulations.
    • Represents Regulatory Affairs in institution meetings; provides regulatory guidance and recommendations for organizational programs and initiatives.
    • Analyzes new and amended state and federal regulations and accreditor requirements to determine the organizational impact.
    • Ensures that corrections in the areas of non-compliance are made timely and accurately; escalates new and/or unresolved items to manager as needed.
    • Supports in the collection of information gathering for financial aid compliance audits and assists with corrective action plan development as needed.
    • Works with all functional areas as needed to develop new reporting capabilities and improve existing processes; serve as team liaison and provide guidance to business on projects.
    • Trains colleagues on compliance with relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
    • Attends training provided by NASFAA and the U.S. Department of Education.
    • Represents Adtalem at state financial aid administrator association.
    • Completes other duties as assigned.

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
    • At least 4 years of experience in a federal/state regulated environment; experience in higher education regulatory compliance preferred.
    • Must have experience with Title IV; Military funding experience preferred.
    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, critical thinking, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be a detail-oriented problem-solver.
    • Must be able to demonstrate a consistently great work ethic in a high productivity environment.
    • Travel requirements can be up to 10%.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and internet applications.
    • Familiarity with Title IV rules for participating foreign institutions is desired.
    • Understanding of Title IV treatment for modular course structure is desired.
