    The Key Account Manager is responsible for proactively leading sales activity, building and maintaining trust-based relationships with both prospective and current clients within assigned accounts or territory. This role involves promoting ACAMS products, seeking and developing new business (inside and outside ACAMS’s existing customer base), and driving competitive sales opportunities. The Key Account Manager is directly responsible for exceeding sales quota, performing at a high level and consistently driving revenue by growing existing and new accounts within the financial industry.

    Responsibilities

    • Manages sales across assigned accounts or territory by generating new business from existing customers and prospective clients.
    •  Works with Sales Director to create and execute strategies to build a customer base and grow revenue in assigned accounts or territory.
    •  Communicates and tracks sales activities. This position is responsible for meeting sales metrics including a set number of face-to-face meetings per week, as well as product presentations with identified clients.
    •  Understand and anticipate clients' training needs to drive the success of the assigned accounts or territory with ongoing communication.
    •  Increase revenue opportunities by attending relevant industry events, ACAMS conferences and chapter networking opportunities.
    •  Proactively develop new sales opportunities for ACAMS local Conferences and seminars to increase attendance and revenue year-over-year.
    •  Plans and executes course of actions to win deals and reach annual goals.
    •  Identifies and develops new business across existing customer base.
    •  Tracks progress of sales in Salesforce and actively manages business pipeline.
    •  Compares data and intelligence from difference sources to identify issues, secure relevant information, and identify sale opportunities.
    •  Acts as a liaison between ACAMS’ personnel and new business leads as product expert.
    •  Pursue new services and product opportunities for key accounts (existing and new clients) and exceeding annual quota.
    •  Develop and lead large scale sales opportunity through entire sales cycle and work with the client and internal stakeholders to close the deal.
    •  Develop account plans for major accounts and fully execute those plans.
    •  Lead customer presentations, workshops, and meetings with the purpose of winning new  business.
    • Completes other duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience.
    • Demonstrated achievement of consistent quota attainment.
    • Proven track record in measuring results and meeting, and exceeding aggressive metrics.
    • Good knowledge of the financial industry preferred.
    • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM.
    • Personal goal setting, time management, and self-motivated.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required.
    • Knows and understands how global markets operate and how the relative performance of various markets and industry sectors can impact each other.
    • A “roll up your sleeves” sales executive. Highly effective and unselfish team player.
    • Enthusiasm, drive, and strong sense of initiative.
    • Desire to be part of a rapidly expanding business.
    • Works effectively with other functional partners - team-oriented work ethic.
    • General PC and Microsoft Office skills required, specifically expert use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel. Ability to learn new programs a plus.
    • Must have reliable transportation.  Travel for this role is estimated at 60% within the assigned market/territory.  Candidates must be able to get to various locations within the territory on a regular basis.
