As the Director of Technology for the ACAMS Risk Assessment software product, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, architecture, infrastructure, and security of a global application to support the needs of financial institutions worldwide. You will have administrative and budget responsibilities to build a team of technology professionals, as well as any needed outside vendors, and will work closely with the product management team to plan and implement maintenance and improvements. You will provide hands-on project leadership as well as work to develop your colleagues through coaching and mentoring. You will also work to identify and implement strategies that will further develop the use of the technology to accelerate the growth and expansion of ACAMS Risk Assessment aligned to the Global IT Adtalem Strategy. This position reports to the IT Lead of the Adtalem Financial Services Vertical.
Lead architecture, hosting infrastructure, software development, and security team members for ACAMS Risk Assessment
Identify and recommend new technology solutions including database and architecture optimization solutions
Oversee hiring of new tech team members inclusive of software developers, system engineers, and help desk support engineers
Collaborate closely with the Sr. Product Manager to establish and implement a clear technology roadmap, including timelines
Manage internal and external projects from inception through delivery to ensure stakeholder requirements are met
Manage software development internal and external resources to ensure adherence to project timetables
Maintain production metrics to support an appropriate allocation of resources and facilitate process optimization efforts
Construct and maintain software development policies and procedures to ensure coding, packaging and delivery methods meet expectations
Align with home office IT to determine when to leverage corporate resources versus utilizing internal development
Improve data analytics as well as QA processes and capabilities
Provide and problem-solve opportunities for improvement of the tool, particularly driving towards increasing customer self-service and automation
Identify opportunities to enhance member and business partner experience
Negotiate technology-specific contracts and manage third-party vendor relationships
Be responsible for technology planning, capacity planning and design and configuration standards
Ensure the availability of applications and environments and make recommendations to enhance solutions in support of business strategies
Establish monitoring standards, implement solutions, and create a culture of continuous improvement
Ensure technology team’s service level objectives
Participate in the forecasting of funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; monitor and approve expenditures; implement adjustments
Interface with clients as required to support sales objectives and client vendor approvals
Complete other duties as assigned
