    As the Salesforce Platform Leader you are responsible for providing organizational vision and leadership required to achieve the Organization’s purpose of helping our students achieve their educational and career goals. The Salesforce CRM Director will be a 'hands-on' leader/driver with a strong background in dealing with complex enterprise CRM solutions and issues within both the technical and non-technical realms. The role of the Salesforce CRM Director includes both tactical and strategic responsibilities. You will lead the Salesforce CRM Center of Excellence and help drive the strategic vision to help create a 360-degree student view.

    Responsibilities

    • Defines a portfolio of change and roadmap for Salesforce. Engages and influences business and IT leaders to ensure the portfolio will deliver agreed business objectives.
    • Engages in strategic planning with business and IT stakeholders to provide direction, guidance or recommendations on technology and architectural considerations.
    • Management and administration of the Salesforce application and add-ons. Act as the product owner for Salesforce.com and own the product vision and roadmap.
    • Leverages deep understanding of product engineering, emerging technologies, and technical capabilities to guide and influence stakeholders and teams in developing solutions, build, deployment, testing and ongoing management of technology services.
    • Implement strategic enhancements that result in improved productivity, increased efficiencies, and time-saving processes.
    • Manage and mentor Salesforce System Administrators and Sr. Managers in the CRM Center of Excellence to ensure high quality delivery.
    • Provide strategic oversight by helping to facilitate the business in automating and streamlining their business needs.
    • Drive continual product improvements and inform the product roadmap with new ideas based on ongoing user requests, competitive capabilities, and product performance.
    • Collaborate closely with IT and Project Managers to drive successful integrations across products in an Agile development process. A collaborative attitude is essential to the job.
    • Oversee and manage all aspects of Salesforce configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications related to the major Salesforce release upgrades (currently scheduled 2-3 times a year).
    • Communicate regularly with the Salesforce Business Stakeholders, IT leadership, CRM Executive Steering Committee and other stakeholders to ensure functionality meets business needs and to manage and develop future releases/roadmap.
    • Maintain familiarity with other IT system/business application capabilities and scope definition in order to make recommendations about potential upstream/downstream integration or functionality intersection points.

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience in various aspects of CRM technology specifically Salesforce.com.
    • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, Product Design and/or Solution Architecture with a proven record of building great enterprise applications.
    • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred.
    • Strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.
    • Excellent communication skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Must possess strong organizational skills and pay close attention to detail.
