  • Opportunity at a Glance

    The international editor should have a strong background in magazine publication and, preferably, some knowledge of international financial crime prevention, financial regulation and associations. The international editor will report to the editor-in-chief on a daily basis and will plan, coordinate, review, edit and contribute content for all platforms of the magazine and social media. The international editor will be expected to decide which ideas should be pursued, edited or dropped in order to meet the high-quality standards of the award-winning publication and its members.


    • Expand the international coverage of the publication and develop a European edition of the magazine online and in print
    • Collaborate with the editor-in-chief and editorial assistants on artwork, web-only and social media content
    • Excellent creative skills, strong headline and deck writing are essential
    • Researching and developing article ideas pertinent to the region, editing all areas of magazine and ancillaries
    • Oversee layout (artwork, design, photography) and check content for accuracy and errors
    • Edit multiple articles per week from contributors in Europe, Asia, U.S., MENA region, etc.
    • Plan and write editorial calendar for international section of media kit annually
    • Attend industry events
    • Attend quarterly editorial committee meetings



    • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism or related area and four or more years of editing and proofreading experience
    • Proven working experience as an editor
    • Proficiency in MS Office, InDesign, Photoshop or other publishing tools
    • Ability to collaborate and independently make decisions when necessary
    • Detail oriented, critical thinker, strong content sense and creative
    • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.
    • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Exceptional copy editing, proofreading and writing skills to ensure proper house style, usage, consistency and fact-checking (including ability to review and mark up copy using conventional copy editing and proofreading marks)
    • Social media experience
    • Ability to work in an international market
    • Ability to speak French or German a plus
