    Location: This position is based at our Downers Grove, IL corporate headquarters. 

     

    Chamberlain University is experiencing continued growth, and we are looking to add colleagues to our Admissions team. This position will support admissions for one of our online degree programs.

    Our admissions advisors are the first point of contact for prospective students, so we are looking for engaging, warm, enthusiastic people who will quickly create meaningful relationships. We hire colleagues who are passionate about the value of higher education, and who want to help our students take the first step in continuing their education. 

     

    This is a full-time (40 hours per week), onsite position, based in a call-center environment. Includes a 4-week on-the-job training and certification processUpon manager approval, flexible work arrangements (work from home) and schedules may be available after 12 months of employment and demonstrated success in the position. 

    Responsibilities

    • Place outbound calls to prospective students and respond to incoming calls, in a call center team environment.

    • Interview prospective students to determine their motivation for attending college; understand their career goals and obstacles that might prevent them from starting or continuing their education; help them to overcome those obstacles; and ultimately help them to identify the degree-program that best matches their needs.
    • Present information about the benefits of education and Chamberlain University, tailoring your message to the prospective student’s needs, motivation, and career goals.
    • Once prospective students decide to enroll, guide them through the admissions process, responding to questions, linking them to financial aid and academic advisors, gathering the documents necessary to start school, and ensure the students complete admissions testing.
    • Identify (and contact) other prospective students by networking and building relationships with your current students.

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience is required
    • A passion for education and the desire to help prospective students achieve their educational and career goals
    • Enjoy listening to, and talking with prospective students over the phone, getting to know them, and creating a meaningful relationship
    • Ability to craft well-written, compelling messages to our prospective students and fellow colleagues
    • Comfortable working in a call-center environment
    • The desire to work on a team and toward the team’s goals, while also working independently and being internally motivated
