    As the Senior Solutions Analyst you are responsible for a broad range of tasks on large, complex projects.  For example, you provide project management, business analysis, as well as coordination on the development of communication and training programs on the technologies delivered by the Information Technology (IT) organization. You apply your expert knowledge of business process analysis and design to solve internal clients' technical needs. You partner with business owners to deliver technology solutions. You also partner with other members of the IT organization to develop process improvements that result in more streamlined and effective project processes. In your role as the Senior Solutions Analyst, you interact with a wide range of colleagues - from Academic Deans to hands-on technology and business professionals across international borders.  


    You understand the technology and information needs of the business, allowing you to determine which internal and vendor technology solutions are appropirate for for their business requirements. Whether you are working independently or with a team of colleagues, you lead the design, recommendation, planning, development and implementation of project-specific IT solutions that meet strategic business, tactical and IT goals.


    NOTE: This role will require the Senior Solution Analyst to work days in both our Downers Grove location, as well as in our downtown Chicago offices.


    • Apply appropriate methodologies and tools to manage all aspects of assigned projects throughout project lifecycle.
    • Ensure all project deliverables and outcomes are implemented on time, on budget, and within scope to meet the expectations of the project sponsor and owner.
    • Employ proper management in the areas of project scope, schedule/time, finance, quality, resource, communication, risk, and procurement for successful project outcomes.
    • Develop recommendations, action plans and necessary documentation following the approved project methodology.
    • Develop business requirements by interviewing Subject Matter Experts, and gain understanding of the technologies that will be utilized to provide the solution - as well as documenting all requirements.
    • Develop functional specifications and designs as needed.
    • Work with assigned technical resources to develop and document technical specifications.
    • Work with Solution Manager to ensure Training and Communication plans are developed.
    • Work with business sponsors to ensure that appropriate approvals are gathered at appropriate tollgates.

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology or related discipline.
    • 5 – 7 years Project Management experience.
    • 5 – 7  years as a Business and/or Business Systems Analyst.
    • Demonstrated experience with business processes and prior use of a project management system;  Daptiv experience a plus.
    • Prior experience in a software or technology Organization; higher education or academic technology experience a strong plus.
    • Experience with SharePoint, MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word required.
    • Experience working in a software or technology organization; higher education or academic technology experience preferred.
    • Experience supporting projects of medium levels of complexity.
    • Experience working in an environment which follows a structured development process.
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills - Ability to work with both technical and non-technical team members.
