  • Opportunity at a Glance

    The Director of Marketing for Pre-Licensure will be responsible for the development and implementation of local marketing programs for Chamberlain University in various major metropolitan markets. This position reports to the Senior Director, Marketing and is based out of Downer’s Grove.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop marketing plans informed by competitive analysis, SWOT analysis, channel performance, market research, and contact strategy.
    • Works closely with admissions and student services to optimize student journey and influence student satisfaction.
    • Develop detailed contact strategy to help drive conversion rates.
    • Works with marketing management and campus Presidents to drive inquiry and enrollment goals for a select set of campuses.
    • Manages media and advertising plans and adjusts according to effectiveness and budgets.
    • Attends some campus events and oversees/supports agency and campus teams in engaging attendees, running “world class” events, managing the registration process, lead generation, tours, tracking and measurement of event day activities.
    • Manages the marketing budget for assigned locations and monitors expenditures.
    • Measures, analyzes and reports on the effectiveness of marketing activities.
    • Conducts marketing research on a variety of factors including competition, product demand, student demographics, etc.
    • Develops local marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness and inquires.
    • Uses existing market research to understand competition and demand drivers in local markets.
    • Partners with admissions and campus Presidents to implement marketing plans and local events and sponsorships.
    • Works with and provides direction to outside agencies as needed.
    • Reviews campus marketing requests to determine need, priority, and completeness of information.
    • Has direct reports to manage and ensure marketing plans are being executed.
    • Completes other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
    • Minimum seven years of marketing experience in a corporate marketing or advertising agency environment required.
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated strong communication skills across all business channels.
    • Ability to understand, manage and track marketing budgets.
    • Strong attention to detail and necessary focus on execution, follow up and measurement.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage up and sideways within a large and diverse matrix organization.
    • Action oriented self-starter with ability to drive results; high level of independent work ability.
    • Knowledge of local media preferred.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Internet applications is required.
    • Must be able to travel overnight up to 10% of the time.
