    As the IT Director for Medical & Healthcare Education Business Applications, you are responsible for providing the organizational vision and leadership required to achieve the Organization’s purpose of helping our students achieve their educational and career goals. You are a 'hands-on' leader/driver with a strong background in dealing with complex enterprise Student Information Systems, as well as issues within the technical and non-technical realms. Your role involves both tactical and strategic responsibilities. You plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the design, development and implementation of the organization’s business applications, including our Student Information System.


    • Establish the vision and manage the strategic roadmap for the portfolio of business applications utilized by the Medical & Healthcare segment. Manage and administer M&H business applications, acting as their product owner.
    • Constantly evangelize the vision so all stakeholders are aligned, possessing context and understanding of where we are going.
    • Responsible for the strategic and tactical use – and development – of the Student Information application while ensuring successful adoption and value. Drive continual product improvements and enhance the product roadmap with new ideas based on ongoing user requests, competitive capabilities, and product performance.
    • Oversee and manage all aspects of Student Information Systems technical/functional capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications related to the major release upgrades (Ellucian – Banner 9 Upgrade). 
    • Implement strategic enhancements that result in improved productivity, increased efficiencies, and time-saving processes.
    • Provide thought leadership to business teams by implementing initiatives to streamline and (ideally) automate their processes.
    • Manage and mentor Developers, Administrators, Managers and Sr. Manager to ensure high quality delivery.
    • Collaborate closely with IT and Project Managers to drive successful integrations across products in an Agile development process. A collaborative attitude is essential to the job.
    • Communicate regularly with the Business Stakeholders, IT leadership and other principals to ensure functionality meets business needs – and to manage and develop future releases.
    • Maintain familiarity with other IT and business application capabilities.
    • Make recommendations about potential upstream/downstream integration or functionality intersection points.


    • 10+ years of experience in various aspects of Student Information Systems (preferable Ellucian Banner)
    • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, Product Design and/or Solution Architecture with a proven record of building great enterprise applications.
    • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.
    • Strong business judgment and decision-making skills. Possess the ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.
    • Excellent communication skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Possess strong organizational skills and pay close attention to detail.
