    The position is responsible for providing organizational vision and leadership required to achieve the ATGE’s purpose of helping our students achieve their educational and career goals. This role encompasses all strategy, planning and management necessary to achieve this objective.  Included development, acquisition, implementation and support of all information technologies and services across the organization. The position has administrative and budget responsibilities for a team of information professionals.  This position will develop people through coaching and mentoring.  This role also works to identify and implement strategies that will further develop the use of technology in cost saving measures for the Organization. 

    Responsibilities

    • Develops and leads a high performance team of solution architects, project management, business analysis, quality assurance and organizational change management professionals.
    • Establishes strong relationships with ATGE Medical & Healthcare Institutions and all support functions to continuously understand their needs/requirements.
    • Identify opportunities to enhance student, faculty and staff performance.
    • Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews new solutions and the work plans necessary to implement them.
    • Interviews and hires employees with the assistance of IT management.
    • Negotiates technology specific contracts.
    • Supports and manages large, complex technical initiatives.
    • Responsible for managing and prioritizing work intake for Medical & Healthcare IT work and for managing and optimizing the utilization of our IT resource capacity and budget. 
    • Recommends and implements solutions in support of business strategies and ensures the successful delivery of work with regards to quality of work, timeframe and budget of the project and effectiveness of training/change management activities. 
    • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Works collaboratively with other teams and departments.
    • Participates in the development and administration of assigned Division’s annual budget planning processes.
    • Participates in the forecast of funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; monitors and approves expenditures; implements adjustments.
    • Actively participates in IT groups external to ATGE through industry seminars, workshops and training sessions.
    • Follow and help ensure overall team and organizational alignment with the ATGE TEACH Values.
    • Completes other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required or higher in related discipline. (Master’s degree preferred)
    • 10 years of IT work experience.
    • 5 years of managerial and supervisory experiences
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
    • Advanced level of technical knowledge and experience. 
    • Strong project management, process, technical and financial management knowledge.
    • Strong knowledge of industry-standard methodologies and IT delivery approaches, including Agile, DevOps. 
    • Higher Education industry knowledge, including technologies used in this area.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and multiple employees simultaneously.
