    Adtalem Global Education seeks an energetic problem solver and leader for a Senior Accounting position within our fast growing Professional Education division.     Responsibilities

    • Own the revenue accounting process and recommend suggestions for improvements and efficiencies related to revenue recognition, timing and analysis. Analyze and record revenue from multiple product lines.
    • Perform detailed monthly reviews and account analysis of assigned revenue, expense and balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Work with system developers in creation of new automated processes.
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports to management.
    • Analyze and problem solve for some of the more complicated processes and accounts in the department and communicate results to management.
    • Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial statements and various SEC filings.
    • Assist with the accounting and reporting integration of new businesses.
    • Manage policies to ensure all assigned processes within accounting and reporting comply with GAAP and SOX and ensure all policies are reviewed and updated.
    • Adhere to internal control/compliance policy procedures and has high consciousness/awareness of the Code of Ethics.
    • Work on special projects and handle other tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, MBA/graduate degree or CPA required. 
    • Must have a minimum of four years progressive public accounting or commensurate experience with a medium to large regional or national firm. 
    • Demonstration of leadership in professional or academic background.
    • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
    • Experience with publicly listed clients a plus. 
    • Must be a team player with the ability to analyze and assess processes. 
    • Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and communication skills required. 
    • Must have the ability to facilitate teamwork and cooperation at all levels within the organization and be able to work with limited supervision.
    • Excellent computer and data skills are necessary with proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ERP financial systems.
