    The Talent Management Consultant – Colleague Life Cycle reports to the Director of Talent Management and is responsible for talent management programs and processes across the employee life cycle related to pre-hire and other assessments, colleague and leader onboarding, performance management, and career path development, as well as driving organization-wide career development initiatives.


    • Talent Management Expertise. Possess an understanding and depth of experience in end-to-end talent management processes across the employee life cycle. Articulate the bigger picture of how processes align to overall talent strategy and design and execute individual components while measuring outcomes.
    • Pre-Hire Assessment (and other assessment) Strategies. Participate in implementation of new pre-hire assessment strategy from a talent management perspective and monitor quality of hire and culture fit over time through ongoing metrics and reporting. Identify and implement other assessment approaches to improve individual and team performance and support ongoing development.
    • Colleague and Leader Onboarding. Manage the new colleague orientation and onboarding process, including in person training, resource development, and alignment of resources offered to colleagues at all levels within our onboarding strategy.
    • Performance Management. Manage the performance management process including communications, resource creation, consulting with HR leaders, and driving outcomes to progress our performance management strategy and philosophy.
    • 360 Feedback Surveys. Understand 360 feedback survey technologies as well as the broader process of leveraging 360 feedback to drive more effective development planning. Design and manage survey content in line with Leadership Expectations to suit the various levels of leadership within the organization and enable targeted development efforts to build future leaders.
    • Career Path Development. Leverage outcomes of enterprise-wide job architecture efforts to develop career paths that help colleagues at all levels navigate their careers and understand the options available to them. Manage communications and implementation plan for colleagues and for leaders and work with HR partners to deploy within their institutions.
    • Best Practice Research. Maintain knowledge of current trends and innovative thinking across areas of talent management and bring this knowledge to bear in the programs and processes within scope. Suggest opportunities for continuous improvement to ensure that our talent management practices are in line with leading practices and leverage digital technology wherever practical.
    • Consulting. Work with internal HR partners within Home Office and each of the institutions on talent and organizational development topics to improve performance and develop leaders for the future, while ensuring processes and programs are designed with the end user in mind.
    • Facilitate select Adtalem Leadership Center courses in home and other locations (travel no more than 30%).
    • Complete other duties as assigned.

    • Bachelor degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience in talent management, working on enterprise-wide projects with high impact
    • Strong organizational skills, proven written and presentation skills, and the ability to multi-task
    • Experience in both the design and implementation of talent management solutions across the employee life cycle
    • Experience in driving business success through implementation of talent management solutions
    • Experience in building key relationships within an organization to facilitate the success of the department and progress the talent management strategy
    • Experience in leveraging analytics to drive outcomes
    • Experience in working with a variety of internal customers, including senior management
    • Experience managing relationships with external vendors
    • Project management skills
    • Group facilitation skills





    • Master’s degree in Human Resources Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field
    • Experience in a consulting role preferred
