    Adtalem Global Education is pleased to announce an exciting career opportunity with our Talent Acquisition Team, Talent Acquisition Specialist. This entry level position will have a strong emphasis on hiring faculty and academic-related positions for Chamberlain University online and at locations across the country from our home office in Downers Grove, ILWe are looking for someone with 1-3 years recruiting experience. 

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Partners with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition leadership to develop hiring objectives and strategies to meet business needs with an emphasis on hiring for faculty and academic positions
    • Prepares postings, secures approvals, and opens requisitions to initiate the recruiting process
    • Conducts Intake Meetings with hiring teams to discuss candidate profile, specific goals, timelines and service level agreements to be met during the recruitment process
    • Reviews applications and resumes in order to establish a candidate pool that aligns best with the requirements, credentials, skills and abilities as established by the hiring team
    • Conducts thorough, probing behavioral interviews with candidates to assess fit as established by hiring team, assessing subject matter expertise, relevant experience, prior performance, organizational fit, skills, knowledge, and ability
    • Uses talent market expertise, data, and business acumen to educate and influence hiring managers, maintaining close contact with managers to provide regular status updates
    • Sources and recruits top tier talent to meet immediate needs and proactively builds a candidate pipeline through networking and sourcing for future growth demands
    • Follows through with each applicant to ensure regular status updates and disposition information
    • Ensures that applicant records and statistics are properly maintained in the Applicant Tracking System by updating each change in candidate status in real-time as they move forward or are removed from process
    • Extends offers of employment, initiates the hiring process, and supports the candidate & hiring team until the the first day of employment when the onboarding process and background check are complete
    • Assists in compiling reports, makes recommendations on continuous improvement efforts, tracks effectiveness of sourcing methods, cost per hire, budgets, etc.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or other related discipline
    • At least 1-3 years of corporate or in-house recruiting experience
    • Strong sourcing and networking skills to generate and expand a candidate pipeline aligned with current and projected objectives
    • Full life cycle recruiting experience with effective organization, planning, process, time management, and multitasking skills to meet hiring needs
    • Attention to detail, effective time-management skills, agility and the capacity to consistently complete administrative steps associated with the hiring process with accuracy
    • Ability to manage candidate expectations, provide timely feedback, and insure that candidates have a positive recruiting experience
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills including poise, tact and diplomacy
    • Superior verbal and written communication skills are essential to success in this position
    • Proficiency in using various applicant tracking systems (iCIMS), social media, recruitment tools, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and other productivity and recruiting tools
